You can get to At a Glance settings by once again long pressing on the homescreen and then tapping Home settings. This feature will normally show details like planned events in your Google Calendar, upcoming flight information, and weather. All of those individual aspects can be disabled, so some information doesn’t appear at the top of your homescreen. All you need is to install your preferred weather app and place its widget on your home screen. Different weather apps offer extra functionality and various widget designs, meaning you may need to try many of them till you find your favorite. You don't have to rely on Google's offering if it looks less appealing to you or it's just too simple.

It appears to be happening to those on the beta version of the Google app. So the best way to get it back currently is to unenroll in the beta program and update the app.

There are customization options for “At a Glance,” but it is not possible to remove it from the Pixel Launcher home screen. The most you can do is turn off everything so it only shows the date. While not confirmed – and Google would never confirm this anyways – this could be a test.

The most is a 5×5 grid, and the least is a 2×2 grid that only allows four total icons on the homescreen. Personally, I prefer the 5×5 on the Pixel 6, since the device is on the larger side. Besides those, you can ask Google Assistant to tell you weather info anytime you wish. You can also tap the weather icon at the top left corner of the Google app.

Why force a widget on everyone when Android has so many others to choose from? Thankfully, you can still somewhat get the Pixel experience without the widget. If you like everything else about the Pixel Launcher, you’re stuck with an unremovable widget taking up space on your home screen.

Fortunately, you can customize every aspect of it to fit your needs. Besides showing the real-time weather, date, and events, At a Glance has some features exclusive to Google Pixel phones. You, however, don't have to worry if you don't have a Pixel device since all you need is the weather.

The wallpaper determines the overall color palette present throughout the whole of a Google Pixel. Material You will take colors from the wallpaper and sprinkle those colors in different aspects of Android 12. For instance, the Quick Settings button colors are changed depending on the wallpaper chosen, giving a uniform feel throughout the device. These colors are also found in the main settings menu for the same effect.

You can do that with a native weather widget on your phone, or any weather app on the Google Play Store. Another setting you’ll see right under themed icons is the App grid option. In essence, this setting changes the number of icons that can sit on your homescreen.

The possibility of getting real-time weather info just by glancing at a widget on your home screen or with just a screen tap is quite relaxing. And from the stock weather options to Google's offering and free access to tons of Play Store apps, getting weather on your Android home screen is effortless. Basically, all you need is to get a reliable weather app, then add its widget on your phone. You don’t have to worry or Google search for the best weather apps for Android, as we already cover the topic in this post. Additionally, while At a Glance can not be turned off – we have a few thoughts on that – it can be adjusted.
